African King and Queen

So Imperfect, but, Perfectly in Love

Try to imagine tomorrow, you can decide to paint it the way you want it, you can make it colourful or dull, bright or meek, but most people would want a better tomorrow. A better tomorrow starts with the choices we make today. The decisions we make, undoubted determination mixed with the right amount of persistence and self motivation is all it takes for a better tomorrow.

You should read this blog if you've put your dreams to reality, or have set goals that are in progress. On here, is a testament of determination, hardwork, and persistence. The choices we've made is what has groomed us this way. There's no magic pill. On second thought, you're the magic pill. Only you can make your dreams come true.

Not too long after we met, it was obvious that we wanted the same achievements and accomplishments in life, so we set sail. Aware of the strong tides and high winds, we were determined to swim through challenges, today, we are confident and humbled to enjoy the cool breeze and warm weather in these calm winds.

There are no shortcuts in life. Hard work is the only pill to success. Be mindful of the choices you make, be conscious of how it affects everyone around you.

Love Always,
AKQ

Same time last year, it rained in the morning just as today, we had spoken on the phone all morning as we anticipated our big day.  We were in the same hotel getting ready with our families, so beautiful. So beautiful.......It was a day that we had worked so hard for, prayed so hard for, and a day that God put together.

It feels good to confidently say "God Never Fails".  Very soon, we turn 4 years of love and a wonderful journey full of challenges, breakthrough's, successes, failures, love, friendship and marriage. In spite of all that we've been through, God has not left our side. The blessings and the memorable moments we've shared together overshadows the ordeals that we have endured.

We've had fun today, it's been a long journey of academia and work, so we took advantage of this beautiful spring day and had a blast. We had crepe for breakfast, boat ride this afternoon, and movies, in the evening; now, were all bundled up at home. But blogging has sneaked into our thoughts. The eagerness to share how much fun we had today is quite important.

From French origin, crepes have become our favorite options for breakfast/brunch depending on what day it is. The option to make it the way you want is freedom to curious taste buds. We stopped by this morning at Bonjour Cafe, and it was very much worth it. It was clean, very spacious compared to other creperies places, and the customer service was on-point. We had the BANANA, STRAWBERRY, CHOCOLATE NUTELLA CREPE ...for $7.50 with a scoop of vanilla, not 100%  the healthiest option, but we couldn't resist. The cappuccino was perfect, and served as good accent to compromise for our sweet tooth. The waitress was excellent, and most importantly, the kitchen was clean, and they had gloves on. Yep! Cleanliness is next to Godliness.

Next we went to the library to print out some documents, and headed for an afternoon packed adventure. A paddle boat ride. It was amazing, it was beautiful, the water was on its best behavior, and we paddled, and fondled in any geographical direction possible.  We took some silly pictures, and could not stop taking them. See below, and check out our instagram page here.

Thank you for your time,
Lilian&Dennis

It's been a tough week at work, and I have been so eager to get off work today/ so much so that I got to work early this morning anticipating to be of.

Woke up bright an early, and set of to work on a beautiful Easter morning. I kept saying to myself "It's Easter Sunday and I can't wait to go home for a surprise meal my love plans to cook, and most importantly reflect on the relevance of this day"

So, I leave work, get in my car, started this salty and sultry engineering genuinity, for some reason, it took a sometime to start, hm, I said,  but I didn't make anything out of it. Maybe I should have allowed sometime for the engine to oil it's loins I thought.

Approximately 10 minutes into my highly anticipated peaceful ride home, my car jerks every so often, so I decide to pull into the slow lane and I then turn on my hazard lights. At this moment, I begin to think safety first, at the same time I imagine the sweet aroma and the beautiful smile that awaits me at home, hmmmmm.

Soon after, this car looses it's knack for speed, and gradually, lazily, slowly and slowly defeats the purpose of my foot on the gas pedal, we come to a safe stop- whew! Thank God.

I'm optimistic to get home safe. I have my wife to update her on my situation and a good pal o ours is in his way. I'm sitting here waiting, my hazard lights are on, it's not too cold here, so I'm warm and drenched in optimism.

This moment is reflective for me, and it's taught me relevance on the unpredictability of life, and most importantly the beauty of staying positive. God has blessed us so much that on Resshrrection day, it feels so good to say  that He's Risen, and so are we all.

My good -ol pal is here, and this evening just got better. Heading home for Love by God's grace.

Each day we learn something new, something unique, loving,or new perception about ourselves. Even though we are so green to marriage, we are very much awake and wholeheartedly conscious to embrace this beautiful love and continuos sacrifices that we go through. It has ultimately been by God's grace that we continue to enjoy living, loving, and marriage.

Staying positive is key, therefore, trust that we are leaving no stone unturned on our quest to living our dreams. And oh yes! We are living it. We live it by being selfless, by being respectful, and by making selfless sacrifices for ourselves.

Fulfilling all of Maslow's hierarchy of needs accordingly is an ultimatum for a successful marriage or a relationship. In a way, at six months old in marriage, we might not have the feathers to fly through the storms that older marriage couple have, but tell you what, we are living it. The sacrifices we make for ourselves as a couple is fundamental, or maybe I should say has been pivotal and essentially a stronghold in our bond. The fact that two people are able to live under the same roof, share basic amenities, and intertwine the luxury of privacy, shelter, love, companionship, etc., is a sacrificial love convenant. It's selfless, secure, wholehearted and pure.

The beauty of it all, is the growth in character, the virtue and humanness that comes with it. With each day, we grow stronger in love, become more human in understanding and caring for each other. The best part, we Cherrish this love that we share, as we courteously blog about as a true testament of how far Godliness can go.

It's essential to stress that theultimate  components of living and loving someone and sacrificing all of you, is a selfless act that can be made pure in love only by Gods blessing. Therefore, this Sunday, if you haven't lived and loved your husband, wife, brother, sister, mother, father, uncle, aunt, cousin, grandparents or friends as much as you would want to, waste no time, love at all times.
Love with no strings attached, it pays of. It's mind cleansing, and nourishes the heart. Love at all cost, Love in the simplest if forms. Call rather than send a Facebook message, hug rather than a handshake; take it further, a kiss on the cheek goes the shortest distance to the heart.

Love Always,
Lilian&Dennis.

From the time a woman is pregnant till she conceives a golden child, there is a heavenly transformation of her mind, body, and soul- a period I love to call,"God at work". The concept of pregnancy is incomparably delicate, precise and well articulated. Honestly, it's best magic trick nature has to offer to humanity. It's filled with many emotions of joy, pain, love, blended with God's blessings and euphoria.

My mother, has had three of these Godly experiences. That means that she's seen God's presence in her life that many times. I'm not surprised that she's an angel. Choosing to endure this three times in a lifetime puts her on a pedestal of elegance and profound accomplishment not measured only by mankind, but signified as a blessing and mercy from God.

Mama, It's your birthday today, happy birthday ooooo. You are such an amazing person that if I wasn't your son, I'd have done everything possible to be nurtured by your love, patience and dedication. Honest to God, you are an amazing woman. You've thought me great lessons in life, for this day, I'm humbled and blessed to be your son.

I can talk about you for days. But simply put, I love you. Before I sign out for the day, at the age of six, on a summer morning in Ghana, I was in Class One then, and I forgot to tell the night before that I had to take some sticks for Math, you woke up early with me, we walked to the Presy school in Betom, it had rained the night before, so the the frogs and tadpoles were singing to welcome the day, and we walked carefully by the ditches and got some sticks from a nearby tree. Such dedication, going above and beyond always. I love you.

Happy Birthday,
Love you,
Dennis
