African King and Queen

So Imperfect, but, Perfectly in Love

We left Trinidad this morning at 715am sharp, that means we had to left the  hotel via taxi by 430am. We slept good though, we snugged and cuddled tighter and tighter knowing this would be our last night in Trinidad off a while. This vacation/wedding celebration will forever be inscribed in our hearts. Taking time of work away from our busy schedules woke us up to what we've been missing, simplicity in the way some live, we miss the sea, we miss the breeze, we miss the rain, and the beautiful aromas of well cooked meals. It took us aback to how we grew up in Ghana, and reopened our desire to celebrate and admire Mother Nature.

As we leave today, we leave with lots of bullet points on set goals, and have promised each other to take more time of the hustle and bustle lifestyle the marinate in all the God has created in nature. Last night we had dinner at an Indian restaurant, the food was good, the customer service was splendid, pricey, beautiful traditional Indian setting and very refreshing in elegance of Indian culture. The music they played took us aback to the Indian movies we watched growing up.

Before the food came we took pictures, kept on taking pictures and kept on critiquing our pictures until we had exhausted all silly siting poses. The food was well spiced, that shouldn't come as a surprise, very authentic, and well presented. We had some curry goat, some spicy, spicy spicy shrimp, and dreamed vegetables. A glass of wine eased mastication and some well chilled H2O confirmed gastric compliance.

The conversations we had at dinner were full of love. I talked to my husband, my husband held my hand and talked to me. We talked about our future together, saving money, professional goals, our aging parents, and our siblings. We prayed also, we asked God to continue guide us in all we do, to guide us in our decision making, to protect our friends and family, we prayed for infinite healthiness, and abundance of love, joy, peace, and successes.

As we blog from this flight heading backs to Jersey, it's our prayer that our safety lies in His hands. We thank you for keeping up with us, and we pray that His mercies and blessings will continue to be abundant in your lives, and in the lives of your family.

LoveAlways,
DennisandLilian.

This is a beautiful place in the Carribean. We feel so much at home, the weather is just right, the food, the food, the food is hm hm hm! The people are nice, callaged into diverse and vibrant racial facades. Very clean as well as hospitable people. It feel good to be here to celebrate LOVE, it's amazing to have attended a ravishing and resplendent wedding of Caleb and Cymanthia, this is God's making, we pray for all of God blessings to them and their families. They have been great hosts to us, and their wedding is the best we've been.

LoveAlways,

The splendid time we had at our wedding has given us every right drag our blog lazingly, but we have realized that we cannot be selfish by keeping it all to ourselves.

The taught of going back to work... we miss work and co-workers, but still in wedding mode. Maybe we can type this post slow-----ly.. Feels like we never worked before the wedding, all we talk about is how amazing the wedding was, and all the festivities involved. The friends and family we hadn't seen in ages who shared the day with us- we are humbled. Thinking back now, nostalgia is kicking in.  The music, the food, ok ok back to business. One last thing, we thank God for a successful wedding.

First day back to work was not a busy day, so we got to share our pictures and sweet memories with our co-workers who couldn't make it to the wedding. Our glow was undeniable- most said. Overall, it felt good to have had so much positive accolades from the people you spend most of your  week with. It's amazing what we do as healthcare providers, and its inspiring to share serene ambience with optimistic people.

A summer trip to Providence Rhode Island is definitely a must do. The weather is just "right", the seafood is to die for and the ambience in historic architecture is a must see. We spent a few days in Providence and we fell victim to its rich aroma's of good and mixed cultural delicacies. From Italian, Caribbean, American, and Spanish delicacies.

Cranston, RI, hosts T's restaurant, we must confess, one of the best breakfast/brunch we've had. The eggs, pancakes, fruit salad, waffles, honeyed lemon tea , hm! just right. The wait staff were amazing, and a 15 minute wait time flies by so fast you couldn't tell it had been that long.

The night time wakes up to a variety  of great food and a well paced  night life. The energy at night is well paced, not too crowded, parking is reasonable. Lots of Hookah bars for those of you who are interested; and great sea food- just want to say that again. Shark Sushi is definitely a place to go. Oh yes, they do have sharks in there. We don't want to burst your bubble, you gotta check it out.

When we first began to get to know each other, the first few months was very interesting, we must repeat that very interesting. As we look back and reflect on some of the moments we shared and perceptions we had for each other, we joyously laugh both in shame of false expectations and in bliss of the successes we've made.

When we would go out on dates, our talks were like emptying out our wardrobe, and refilling it with new refined items. What made this time most memorable  was that we poured out our strengths and weaknesses without worry of being taken advantage of. We opened up, and opened up more to courtship and lifetime commitment.  There has always been a sense of peacefulness and trustworthiness that we have for ourselves.  Deep down within our young and fragile hearts, we knew that "this was it of us". We both had gotten tired of not having what we longed for.

Its funny how we were both on our best behavior the first 90 days. Yep, approximately 3 months of euphoria and clandestine angelic behaviors. We enjoyed every bit of it, and we must say, it was a crucial and relevant time in our courtship. Now as we reflect on those days, we have realized that we were both certain and comfortable to commit to each other at an early phase of our relationship.

There were no waiting for texts messages before we called each other, no selfishness- it was all, and has always been selflessness. Soon, we quickly snapped into reality to address our long terms goals. By doing so, we realized some fine-tuned similarities we shared, and that helped us to form a  more concrete, and solidified young love.

Our first conversation was detailed in topics such as religion, healthcare, further education, living the "good-life' staying healthy, and planning for the future for our parents. No where did we talk about us, it was like we were already together as we planned for our future. The smiles and euphoria were so genuine that they mimicked our childhood fantasies.

As days went by, we changed our cell phone data plans to accommodate data demands. We talked and texted all the time. Non-stop.  Furthermore, the eagerness to see each other would later curtail to mould what we are and who we are today- simply imperfect us.

Our parents were happily surprised, our siblings the same, most of all God smiled at his creation more and more as He showered us with blessings, grace, communication, occasional unplanned arguments with embraced resolution.

Getting engaged, we flew into a newness in happiness, joy and security. And as we elevate into what God has planned for us in a few days to come, we do so with humility, and grace. The life we live is not by our making, neither is it by our prayers alone; our parents knees have sunk deep within sand and concrete interceding for us through prayer and meditation on God's word- and that's what makes' us what we are today.

Our friendships have been abundant and blessed.  In the midst of all this, we remain engraved in humility and positivity to overcome all challenges, and set new milestones in all that we desire to be.

Thank you for your time,
Love Always,
Dennis and Lilian.

We had a great time at a friend's wedding today, the food, the music, the fashion were all amazing; the audience was spectacular, and most importantly, the bride and groom looked ravishing in their fine African prints.

We pray for God's guidance and blessings for them, as we anticipate our big day patiently  it's coming .........soon...very soon.....very very soon. Below are a few shots to give a glimpse of what fashion trends in African prints we're working on....please enjoy.  Pictures courtesy of iphone 5 .

Love Always,
