We have gained more being together
We have made more positive strides in our lives by treating each other with kindness, respect and compassion.

The beauty of it all is that we are more at peace and more in love with each second of time; and we are able to tell you about it.

With these concrete positive accolades in our relationship we gear towards accomplishing more successes together forever, for, God is with us.

So, erm ....we have to make some additions to the previous post humble beginnings. We've been reminded by honored readers of significant and magnificent "humble beginning" milestones. Most readers suggested we emphasize on the magnitude of Sunday school - no talking, parental discipline, and love in culture which wholeheartedly embrace "it takes a village to raise a child" philosophy.

We stand corrected in love, and humbled to shed more insights on these topics in retrospect to our richly cultured childhood experiences. Sunday school was, and still a vital component that lays the bricks to a well founded Christian child. The teacher's were/are amazing, and we remember the pristine silence as they told Biblical stories of Jesus, Moses, Abraham, Isaac, and on and on. I remember, I didn't want to eat any food as slippery as Okro, so that Jesus doesn't slip and fall as He lived in me; Hm!

Even though, the collection money went to the ice cream vendor in the parking some Sundays when Lucifer tempted us, we've been saved through Christ our Lord. Sunday School solidified friendship at such a young age and instilled in us the significance of spirituality, and the positive outcomes of doing good.

Parental disciple without a doubt is key to our success. Lessons learned are infinite, and the positive attributes are many. It was problematic however in school, when the teacher's went beyond the walls of discipline. It curtailed a negative connotation toward elementary education, We'll buy a cane next time we go to Ghana, and pay a few teachers a visit.

When you did something wrong in the community, your neighbor didn't hesitate to wear the shoes of your parent's- eish!! Asem ni'e! Anyone older than you was respected, the elderly man was Da'd/Uncle/Brother/ and the woman Mama/Auntie/Sister. Therefore, at all times, we had no choice but to be on our best behavior. Good deed's we well bosomed.

There has to be a another post in regards to humble beginnings, we're recollecting lot's of memories- stay tuned.

So, where does all the  love talk root from?  From fertile grounds of upbringing- you're absolutely right about that. Or maybe from somewhere else...It has to, what's the secret some viewers ask?  We attribute
the solidity of our love to parental upbringing, spirituality and the support of friend's and family. Oh! we can't forget about the life's experience's that we can't run from- good, and challenging.

Humble beginning's does define us; it could be the warm shower's from boiled water from the coal pot , the koko/ Porridge and fried nkosua for breakfast, or rice water on rainy morning's and occasional corn flakes..hmmm!!!

The distant walks to school with friends, with talks of soccer games over the weekend, anticipated christmas presents, and upcoming exams remain vivid in our memories. Good memories of learning english in school, and speaking twi at home- our parent's were concerned we might loose  mother tongue.

Playing soccer at school or after school were highlights, barefoot or in best shoes- oh man good times, playing ampe-Lilian say's were remarkable highlights after school.

The cricket's at night, might have played their role too. We enjoyed the silence "light off's", and engulfed in traditional cloth while we burned mosquito coil's  for fear of malaria.

Helping with chores at home, and not missing the night shower before bed were interesting and unavoidable experiences . The highlight of humble beginning's were the vacations to the village to see "Nana"

All has curtailed to our love.

Love strong,

By now, you have read most of the post's on this blog and made a conclusion that love is always

smooth, and obstacle free; well, that's for the movies.  To us Love is an umbrella term that embraces a

bunch of positive accolades, negates negative notions. Our love is not without some fiber of differences

and misunderstandings.

Not surprisingly, we do have moments when we have our differences, yep we do; hey! hey! hey! come

on now, it's only human that we do; sometimes, we too have some a rifts, and unintentional turns too

you know! We call them love speed bumps- we tend to move too fast for our own pace. We are able to

come out of it successfully by God's grace in effective communication; through this we have matured.

Coming out from an argument can be difficult; however, it's this aspect of a relationship

which separates the girls from the women, and the men from the boys. We've learned this very well- the

hard way, and have accepted to respect each other at all times, therefore, when we smell "smoke"we do

not look for the "matches", we both don't hesitate to quench that fire- no smokey Love.

Love strong, literally means loving all out knowing there would be some difficult times, and that you're

not alone. Love strong together, Love strong forever . When we first started dating, the honeymoon

phase was amazing, then we evolved into our real "selve's"-

3 years after, Loving stronger and stronger

I just got my finger's slapped dsj.km'clx, I think she's trying to say, we're writing too much in this post-

a tease is vital....

Love Strong, Love Forever
See you later

Sweet, euphoric, memorable childhood memories have curtailed to what we have become, we have so

many similar childhood memories that we share. Maybe in a strange way, it has become a stronghold

for our relationship.

Ghana, has earned a place in our hearts and minds forever, in spite of her being small and 3rd world

country as some westerners might say, Ghana is what has made us who we are and continue to be.

Family, food, culture, and the traditions are well instilled in us. Even the scorching sun heavenly to us,

and the magnificent. The sporadic power and water outages served as quiet time to tell stories, and juice

up on some proverbial knowledge from our elders.

Ghana, how much we Love you.

We keep our love spices burning at all times, valuing all the times and the moments we share, be it at home on the phone.  With technology comes great perks in communication, but sometimes it takes away to humanistic aspect of communication, we love to talk to each other without the phones being on.  Just my Love and I, with good soothing music tingling in our ears, we talk of how love has brought us together, how we can better, love more, and love more, and love more, and more...

When we talk, we talk for hours, about us, about our future expectations, caring for our aging parents, and ways to be outstanding role models for all who look up to us.
Oh! We moreover talk of how to better this blog. :>

In Spicing Up Our Relationship 2, we promised to explore and surprise ideas, how we work together, and how we "treat ourselves", so here we go........
Surprise ideas

Always be creative, get to know him/her more each day, and you will be filled with ideas for a lifetime....Last night I promised him we were going out for dinner, but he had to come home to pick me up, little did he know that I made Banku and Okra soup, the look on his face was priceless. Such a beautiful moment we cherish so much.

We love aromatherapy, and we explore various heavenly flavors. Imagine after our long day’s work, we walk home into the sweet smell of ocean breeze hmmm…it takes all that work stress away.
For the sake of heavenly bliss, and healthy living, please treat yourself, single, married or unsure. Bath & Body Works has an amazing selection of body oils to soothe your inner peace, as well as soothing smells for wall plug-ins. This is much needed. Once a week, not a bad idea, weekends always a great idea...

Amen!
