African King and Queen

So Imperfect, but, Perfectly in Love

After a well deserved nap, which felt like a days worth of sleep, but in actuality, lasted only for only 30 minutes, we headed to downtown MTL; childishly, we giggled as we're very  excited to finally get to explore this beautifully perceived city". As we arrived, we looked at each other, smiled, we knew that it has been worth the hype.

So unique, some parts antique, with cobblestones, lots of history, art, color, culture, vibrance, elegance, love and family all nixed into one city. That's some serious business. A well planned city we must admit, and purposely encorporated with artistry concepts of the old and new, the roads wide and narrow, with some downhills, uphills, vendors, tourists, people from all walks of life, exclusively not crowded on our visit. We parked, courtesy of Mrs. C, there should be a smiley face next to her name ( we're so appreciative) ; and rest assured, the picture taking began enthusiastically.

We were so eager to try a local meal in the midst of our adventure................. and when we did, hmm! hm! hm!.............it was so good.
Actually, it was difficult to leave that spot. We wanted more, and still want some more. It tasted so good, lasted so short, but mentally it has stayed in our taste buds. to make sure it settled well in our stomach, we had to enforced it travelled smoothly by topping it up with some ice-cream, we had craved ice-cream for a while, but we don't recollect getting any; oh! we did. Later on at the Jazz Festival.

We continued on, walked for a while, explored, snapped pictures from various angles, of various buildings, people, boats, pavements, cars, you name it, we snapped it. We continued our quest of exploration, and decided to do something different, something we all had not experienced, so, we decided to ride a chariot. Fulfill our Royalty in MTL.

We all snapped into Royal mode, all for of us on one happy chariot. We can still imagine the sound of the horse shoe on the cabbel stone. Wish it ran faster, just kidding.

Our first time, and it was so much fun. What was the Horse's name? Cindy? Man!  We forgot already! The owner of the horse (what's the proper name for him?) was very enlightening and informative, he took us through various locations in the Old City of Montreal, and shed and shared his historical knowledge with us. Told us old and new tales all mixed into one happy chariot ride in MTL.

We admired the Lofts, and elegant residences, the porch cars, and historical architecture. Must admit, it was an awakening and an eye-opener of how much culture there is. We daydreamed and imagined living there, how it would feel like, and how life would be.....daydreaming went on, and on, still goes on sometimes..........

To be continued.....................

It's a blessing to be alive, for us, living is not to be taken for granted, however, life's demands of work and responsibilities, often a time takes away the true essence of Living. It's empowering however to embrace a perception for a desire to create a life one wants. And that's the true essence of Living.

Take us for an example, maybe not one of the worst examples, you might have seen worse or may be a culprit yourself. For our typical week, we spend most of our time working. Working and working, so, we asked ourselves, are we living or working? A little bit of both? We work more. It all comes down to what one is working for, a brighter future? Absolutely!

As we reminisce often, we think of the so called "the little things in life" we miss, especially the carefree attitude from our Ghana childhood days of concrete financial responsibilities, as compared to  our adult years, it's clear that we've spent our lives working more than living.

As we sit out in this gorgeous sun on this beautiful Sunday, it's almost shameful that we can't remember the last time we allowed the sun to kiss and romance the melanin our skin creates without being on a vacation. Our only use of the sun these days is to acknowledge its a presence as confirmation of another day. We walk straight to our cars and of to work; by the time we leave work, the moon smiles to confirm that the sun has been overcome for the next twelve hours or so...........a perception we work on changing, with persistence, and planning, life gets better

As simple as sitting out in the sun may be, has awakened us. On our quest not to forget about the best part of life, Living, we desire to enjoy the simplicities of life more, and we desire, and plan to do so. By going back to enjoy the simple things in life, we live again.

Don't Forget About The Best Part Of Life, Living.

It feels so gooooooooooood! We made ittttttttt! Wow!
This feels good. We've been married for two years? We made it! We did! We have! We will for many infinite years to come. This marriage is working in our favor, thanks to God, don't be surprised to read "Yep! 2 years"  out of nowhere when reading this piece.

Who knows, very soon we'd be writing books as veteran hubby and wife. With all humility though, we thank God for another year of marriage, we are so excited today as we reflect on our marriage, our life, our challenges, our breakthroughs, future breakthroughs and successes. God has been good to us. Our families and friends have been supportive through the years and we will forever be grateful.  "Yep! 2 years"

Two years ago today, we were optimistic that August 22nd will become a part of us, a part of our legacy, and today we celebrate this day with so much joy and satiety at our decision to tie the knot.

So many lessons learned.
So many places visited.
A lot of food  delicacies explored in food.
Lots of beautiful moments depicted in pictures of the wonderful moments we share, and we've learned a lot from each other.  "Yep! 2 years"

We thought we knew a lot about each other so it was right to get married, but then we've reliazed that learning about ourselves is lifelong.

Our passion of more successes remains more poised, and that's a growth in our perception of life and marriage. We come to believe more in ourselves, in each other, and have welcomed our strengths and weaknesses with open arms.

It's still our passion to inspire the true essence of Love in everyone, especially those who do not believe in Love. We will continue to beautifully set a stage of hope, possibilities and infinite depth of love in its entirety. Listen, when you love someone, you're unstoppable, you embark on a journey of selflessness in which the gains outweighs the loss.  "Yep! 2 years"  We've been climbing up in Love and in Life, all because of the things we do and plan together.

If we had to do it over again, we absolutely will. It feels good to be loved. It feels good to live another day and know that there's more to life with each second of time.  "Yep! 2 years"

We thank God for our Love. We anticipate the next years to be filled with more laughter, more breakthroughs and more dreams come through. We are winners, not dreamers, we are overcomes, we have more successes too on our way. Stay with us through our journey of life, love, and success. "Yep! 2 years"
