How We Spent Our Valentine's Day

by - February 15, 2015

This years Valentine's Day was special.
We spent it differently compared to other years past. We did something different.

Earlier in the year, we planned to go away, but as time went by, we changed our minds. Then came our second option, go for dinner, but we realized that we do this quite often. We eat out at least once a week, or maybe twice a month, therefore, left out of meaningful choices,  we stayed in, and later during the evening we took a trip to South Jersey to spend  the evening in comfort of great friends and delicious home cooked meal.

We did this for several reasons.  As we reflected on what we've done in the past for Valentine's Day, we realized that we spend so many days as "Valentine's Day".  We buy each other presents, surprise each other, and the florist's do make money off us quite often. This being said, this is what we did do,  we got lots of flowers for our mothers. Yep! Some beautiful roses and lilies and other vibrant flowers for our beloved mothers; they deserve more than flowers and it feels so good to have the love and support from them. We do love our fathers the same.

Love for us, and for most people, is around the clock. Taking out a special day to celebrate love is beautiful, however, celebrate each other more often than the norm.  Do it everyday, do it at all times, a dose of love each day is enough to keep the love boat sailing.

We forget to mention, we did exchange presents, some lovely flowers and some heavenly fragrances. Love is a beautiful thing. The simple moments we share, priceless. We spent some quality time with a good friend at brunch today at a Lebanese/Mediterranean restaurant- Uncle Momo. The ambience, the service, and the traditional aroma's - so good. We recommend this restaurant for all loved ones.
